Grade Export has a set of Admin Tools that can be used to perform different administrative functions.

Use the Grade Export Admin Tools

  1. Sign in to Blackboard Learn with a user account with administrator privileges.
  2. Access the Administrator Panel.
  3. Select Platform Extensions under Cloud Management.
  4. Choose Edit Settings from the context menu for Grade Export v2

  1. Be sure the Grade Export Availability toggle is enabled. You will see a Grades Journey Features toggle that is not enabled; the text contains more information about the Grades Journey extension that is available with a paid engagement. For more information about the additional features available with Grades Journey, please contact your account representative.
  2. Select the Admin Tools tab.

Grades Approval and Transfer

 As an exception workflow, an administrator can approve and transfer grades.

  1. Select Launch to go into the Grade Approval Workflow.
  2. Select Advanced Search to open the Course Search peek panel to find the course in which you want to approve the grades.
  3. Use the following parameters to search for the course.
    • Course ID
    • Course Name
    • Course Description
    • Instructor
    • Term (Name of the term)
    • Date
      • Before
      • After
      • Selected Date
    • Approval Status
      • All: Returns any courses meeting the above criteria regardless of Approval Status.
      • Approved: Returns any courses meeting the the above criteria where the status of the course is Approved.
      • Unapproved: Returns any courses meeting the above criteria where the status of the course is Unapproved.
      • Extracted: Returns any courses meeting the above criteria where the status of the course is Extracted.

Grade Status Delete

The status of grades can be set back to Unapproved from Approved or Extracted and the Action Date and Last Updated By values cleared with this tool. A date and time parameter are required. Enter the date and time and any column with an Action Date prior to the configured value will be reset. Enter Submit to reset the status.

Grade Column Repair

The Grade Column Repair tool can be used when a column is provisioned and that provisioned column is deleted. The column can be manually recreated in the course and then reset as if it were a provisioned column. The parameters required are Course ID and Grade Column Name. Enter Submit to repair the Grade Column.

Course Unlock

The Course Unlock tool can be used to unlock a locked Grade center in an Original course. To unlock a single course, enter the Course ID and select Submit. To unlock multiple courses, select Browse to upload a CSV file containing the Course IDs for all the courses that need to be unlocked. (You can download the template file to view the format the file should be in.) Optionally, enter a Notification Email Address to send a notification to when the batch unlock process has been completed. Select Submit.

Admin Logs

Admin logs that contain information about successful events, errors, and debug messages are available for administrators. To access the logs, on the Administrator panel in the Content Management section choose Manage Content, then institution, then logs, then platformExtensions, then gradeExport. The logs are updated every hour and maintain data for five days.
