Blackboard produces timely notifications of what's happening in users' courses, including new content, surveys, and due dates for tests and assignments.
The notification system is a framework for the delivery of notifications to Blackboard Learn users. When an event occurs in the system—such as an assignment is created, a course is available, or a test is past due—the system automatically creates the appropriate notifications. No action is required by the instructor.
In the Ultra experience, these notifications appear in the activity stream, email, and push notifications in the Blackboard App.
Within the parameters set by the institution, individual users can configure which notifications they receive and choose how they want to receive their notifications.
