The Learning Tool Activity and Use report allows you to see who uses the learning tools in your Learning Management System (LMS) and when the tools are accessed. Discover how the use of the tools changes over time.

Primary and comparison date range

The report displays data according to the time periods you select. At the beginning of the report, you can select your primary and comparison date ranges.

The Primary Date Range is the period you want to set as a base. The Comparison Date Range is the period you want to compare your base to.

By default, Primary Date Range spans the last 30 days, and Comparison Date Range is the 30 days prior the Primary Date Range. Make sure to select your preferred date ranges to update the data presented.

Use date ranges of the same length for accurate comparison

Reset date ranges to default

  • Select the date range.

  • Select the More options menu, on the top right-hand corner.

  • Select Reset

  • Repeat steps on the other date range you want to reset.

Indicators are useful to get a quick snapshot of an activity you need to keep track of. This report uses as the indicators’ base the Primary Date Range value. Nevertheless, when the title references a specific date range, this date range is the indicator’s base.

  • Up arrow: The value, or number, increased compared to the Comparison Date Range

  • Down arrow: The value, or number, decreased compared to the Comparison Date Range

  • Rightwards: There is no change between date ranges.

  • DIV/0: There is no data available for the selected Comparison Date Range
