These instructions will direct you to linking your server to the Blackboard Collaborate LTI server. Please remember these instructions are general and may be slightly different on your server. Consult your Blackboard Account Representative and your LMS vendor's documentation for more detailed instructions on how to configure a Basic LTI tool. You must perform this process for each Blackboard Collaborate feature you wish to use.

To Link to a Blackboard Collaborate LTI

  1. Log in as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to the location where you can add external (Basic LTI) tools.
  3. You will now want to use the enclosed information to add the LTI integration as a new tool.
  4. Ensure that the Allow users to see this link box is checked.
  5. In the Key/Secret area, check the Sign messages with key/secret with box and select Link key/secret.
  6. Enter the Blackboard Collaborate provided Key and Secret in the appropriate text fields.
  7. Make sure your LMS is configured to send the following information to the Blackboard Collaborate Basic LTI provider: Context ID, User ID, User name, User e-mail address
