The Financial Aid Reporting Building Block includes the Single and Multi-Course User Participation Reports that provide data required for reporting student academic contribution in compliance with Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4) rules established by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Single Course User Participation Report: This report provides a download file of user academic activity/submissions within a single course. Instructors run the report from the Control Panel > Evaluation > Course Reports.
- Multi-Course User Participation Report: This system-level report provides a download file of student academic contributions across all Blackboard Learn courses. A user with sufficient privileges to access System Admin > System Reporting > Statistics Reports can run the report against All Courses, All Available Courses, or All Unavailable Courses across the Blackboard Learn environment. Institutions licensing community engagement, and who have populated an Institutional Hierarchy, are also able to run a report against a specific node.
The data is provided in a Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet (XLS) format for use and manipulation in an external data manipulation tool such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access®, SAS®, SPSS®, or other similar tools. This report contains data for multiple courses.
The report provides the student first name, last name, user ID, student batch ID, system availability setting, course ID, course batch ID, submission time/date stamp, and the count of submissions for attemptable item types within a course, such as assignments, tests, discussion board posts, blogs, and journals.
The report provides data only for course items that require student attempts. The report also provides data only for students who have made an attempt or submission. Grading the item is not necessary for data to be included in the report. If an item type is not used in the course, or there are no submissions, there is no data to report and is not included. Additionally, reports include information on course activities and items that exist at the time the report is run. Reports do not include information on course items that have been deleted.
Reports include data as captured in the latest report refresh. Refresh intervals can vary, but you can manually refresh activity and non-activity data to get the most up-to-date report.
