Quotas keep courses from exceeding acceptable disk space limits and warn instructors when a course is approaching the limit. You can grant additional disk space to individual courses if necessary.

The Course Quota page options set the course quota and legacy file storage.

Course quota sets a size limit for storing files and other data contained in the course, but does not include files stored in private storage. Setting a limit notifies users when the course quota is about to be exceeded. Setting a course quota for a specific course overrides the default setting.

Blackboard Learn uses multiple types of storage, including course files, hidden/private storage, and local storage. Only course files are counted in determining a course's quota. For example, attachments to discussion board threads, blogs, journals, and wikis are saved in hidden/private storage, so these do not count toward a course's quota.
