Class Size

What’s the class size of your courses?

Class size is measured as the number of student enrollments divided by the number of instructors enrolled in the course.

The KPIs show the minimum, maximum, and average class size per instructor.

Consider:

  • Class size is rounded to the nearest 10.
  • This measure only counts courses with active students and active instructors
  • Minimum, maximum, and average calculations include data points that differ significantly from other observations.
  • The average is calculated as the median. The median is the middle value when a data set is ordered from least to greatest.

What’s the course distribution by class size?

This stacked bar chart shows the number of courses that fall under different class size ranges. The chart shows courses under the children of the institutional hierarchy you select in the control section.
