Updated features

Translated Version Alternative Format Improvements

The Translated Version alternative format machine translation has been updated behind the scenes to provide a few key improvements.  The content will now be downloaded as HTML format for added ease of use.  This release also adds support for the following additional languages within the Translated Version alternative format drop down menu: 

  • Albanian
  • Amharic
  • Armenian
  • Azerbaijani
  • Bengali
  • Dari
  • French (Canada)
  • Georgian
  • Gujarati
  • Hausa
  • Icelandic
  • Kannada
  • Kazakh
  • Macedonian
  • Malayalam
  • Mongolian
  • Pashto
  • Sinhala
  • Somali
  • Spanish (Mexico)
  • Tagalog
  • Tamil
  • Telugu
  • Uzbek

Support for the following languages within the Translated Version alternative format is not available:

  • Bosnian (Cyrillic)
  • Serbian (Cyrillic)

Ally 1.52 bug fixes and improvements

  • Improved the information available within the client help emails in the D2L Brightspace integration to now include the display name and email of the user requesting help.  Note that this requires additional permissions to be granted to the Ally service user within Brightspace.  These permissions include:

    • Users
      • View the Users' Email Address (Organization)
      • See the User Management Tool (Organization)
    • User Information Privacy
      • See First Names (Organization)
      • See Last Names (Organization)
      • See Email Addresses (Organization)
  • Fixed an issue within the D2L Brightspace integration that caused the Institutional report launch for a specific D2L Department to no longer work correctly
  • Added a warning displayed to an instructor/editor user when trying to upload a file that is too large or multiple files at one time when using the Instructor Feedback panel.
  • Fixed an issue where decorative images were not being passed through correctly to Ally within Learn Ultra.
