The transition of Collaborate from Anthology to Class Technologies

Continuous Delivery Collaborate Ultra 22.16 | Release to Production: 8 September 2022
Updates

As announced in June, Collaborate (the Product and the Team) have recently joined Class Technologies! https://www.class.com/collaborate/

A lot of our efforts in this quarter have thus been focused on the back-end transition and ensuring that, while we separate systems between Anthology and Collaborate, we continue to ensure a high-quality and stable experience for our users throughout this transition period and beyond.

We’re also working hand in hand between Class Technologies and Anthology to set up a strong partnership for the future between both companies and between the products: Class, Collaborate, and Learn.

  • You can continue relying on Collaborate as it is, expecting the same experience and level of service as before. Our priority remains our commitment to our users and minimizing any potential disruptions while supporting the “back to school” season in the Northern Hemisphere.
  • Some minor branding changes will be implemented in the next few months, but nothing will significantly impact users. For instance, we’re not changing the URL to access sessions, the UI design, or colors.
  • For now, the help site and the support portal (Behind the Blackboard) remain as they are, and you can continue relying on them. We’re working behind the scenes on moving them over to Class and will inform you of new links and processes in due time.
  • The combined Collaborate and Class teams will work on shaping the future of the virtual classroom and involving Collaborate users in shaping it. If you want to get involved and collaborate with our Product team, sign up at: bit.ly/collabandclass
