Dear Student,

[Institution] has been selected to participate in a pilot run by Anthology Ally that gives us access to a new learning tool that can help you read more quickly and easily.

Instead of using plain black text, BeeLine Reader displays text using a subtle color gradient. This gradient pulls your eyes through the text, helping you to read faster and more efficiently. You can read more about BeeLine Reader in The Atlantic or on the BeeLine Reader website (where you can see how it works via an interactive demo).

This new feature is already available to you, so you can use it with your course materials. To see how to use the feature, you can watch this short video, or follow these easy steps:

  1. When downloading a course file, select Alternative Formats.
  2. Choose the BeeLine Reader format to download an enhanced HTML file that can be opened in any web browser, on any device.
  3. Open the file and choose your desired color scheme.

We have been selected to participate in a pilot run by -anthology Ally that gives us access to a new learning tool that may be especially helpful for our ELL students. We have been selected to participate in a pilot run by Anthology Ally that gives us access to a new learning tool that may be especially helpful for our student athletes. This tool, called BeeLine Reader, is being integrated into Anthology Ally, and we are among the first schools to have access to the feature.

Instead of using plain black text, BeeLine Reader displays text using a subtle color gradient. This gradient pulls the reader’s eyes through the text, increasing reading fluency and comprehension. BeeLine Reader can help our busy student athletes by enabling them to read more efficiently, and to help them read when traveling to and from games (the feature makes reading in vehicles much easier). BeeLine Reader is also very helpful for people who have had concussions or other traumatic brain injuries, which can cause difficulties with visual tracking.
