The procedure to convert shared recycle bins for users, courses, or organization to individual ones is applicable only when a Blackboard Learn installation has been upgraded from a pre-9.1 release. This procedure only needs to be completed once.

Change shared recycle bins to individual recycle bins

  1. On the Administrator Panel, under Content Management, select Content Area Management.
  2. Select Manage Recycle Bins.
  3. For the users, courses, or organizations content area, select Create Individual Recycle Bins. This operation cannot be undone.
  4. Select OK to continue. Because this process takes some time to complete, an email is sent to administrators when the conversion is complete.
