If your instructor has assigned attendance grades, you can view your overall attendance grade and detailed records.
For each class meeting, instructors can mark whether you were present, late, absent, or excused. Each status is assigned a percentage out of 100. Your accumulative attendance grade is based on 100 percent.
Your instructors can use your attendance grade as part of your overall course grade. Also, some institutions and programs have attendance policies that require instructors to track the number of class meetings students have missed.

Attendance and your overall grade
Your instructor can use your attendance grade in the calculation of your overall grade.
The overall grade helps you keep track of how you're doing in each of your courses. You can see if you're on track for the grade you want or if you need to improve.
If your instructor has set up the overall grade, it appears on your global Grades page and inside your course on your Course Grades page. Select the grade to learn more about how it's calculated.
The Overall Grade panel shows you how items and categories are weighted. The percentage listed with each entry shows how much it contributes to your overall grade calculation.
