Collaboration: This webinar facilitated by Marcie Newton, The College of Saint Rose, discusses similarities and differences among Discussion Board, Wikis, Blogs, and Journals. How to maximize student engagement using these valuable tools is covered along with effective teaching strategies based on Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy to encourage student engagement.
Collaboration: This webinar facilitated by Misty Cobb of Blackboard provides an overview of various communications tools in Learn. Effective best practices based on evidence from the academic literature is presented. Emphasis is placed on how the effective use of Blackboard features are meeting student needs and increasing student retention. Blackboard features highlighted will include messages, email, text, notifications, and more.
Collaboration: This webinar facilitated by Cheryl Cyrus of Blackboard shows you how to build community online using discussion board questions that build engagement and don’t result in a series of “me too” responses. Learn a few tricks for writing effective discussion questions and building authentic interaction online.
