Delegated grading scenarios

Just like Learn today, different users will see different annotations on documents based on their roles and configurations for anonymous and delegated grading, if enabled.

1. Annotated in New Box view, but no grades are assigned

Students submitted documents to New Box View. Instructors and graders annotated, but no grades are assigned. Then, the documents are viewed in New Box View.

Instructors

  • Can see original document
  • Can view all New Box View annotations
  • Can add or edit their own New Box View annotations

Graders

Allowed to see other grader and instructor annotations:

  • Can see original document
  • Can view all New Box View annotations
  • Can add or edit their own New Box View annotations

Not allowed to see other grader and instructor annotations

  • Can see original document
  • Can view only their own New Box View annotations
  • Can add or edit their own New Box View annotations

Students

  • Can view annotations only after instructors assign grades
  • Can't view annotations while anonymous grading is enabled

2. Grade assigned in New Box View

Students submitted documents to New Box View. Instructors and graders annotated and graded in New Box View.

Instructors

  • Can see original document
  • Can view all New Box View annotations
  • Can add or edit their own New Box View annotations

Graders

Allowed to see other grader and instructor annotations:

  • Can see original document
  • Can view all New Box View annotations
  • Can't add or edit New Box View annotations

Not allowed to see other grader and instructor annotations:

  • Can see original document
  • Can view only their own New Box View annotations
  • Can't add or edit New Box View annotations

Students

  • Can view annotations only after instructors assign grades
  • Can't view annotations while anonymous grading is enabled
