You must configure the roles that have access to the different parts of ECM.

Configure the roles for Extended Course Management v2

  1. Sign in to Blackboard with an account that has system admin privileges.
  2. Access the Admin Panel.
  3. Select Platform Extensions Manager in the Tools and Utilities area.
  4. Select Configuration on the Extended Course Management v2 tile.
  5. Choose the roles that will have access to each area of ECM.
    • Course Management Tools User roles will be able to access the Extended Course Management Tool.
    • Goals Import Tool User roles will be able to access the Goals Import Tool.
    • Create Course User roles will be able to merge a course with a new course in the Extended Course Management Tool.
    • Merge Course User roles will be able to merge a course with an existing course in the Extended Course Management Tool.
    • Unmerge Course User roles will be able to separate a course from an existing course in the Extended Course Management Tool.
