My Announcements is a default module in Blackboard Learn, and one of the first areas you see when you access your courses. When you open an announcement link, you're taken to the main Announcements page.

Access your announcements in a module on the My Institution tab or on the course Home Page. Recent announcements appear as links.
At the top of the page, you can filter your announcements by Institution, Course, and View All.

New course announcements appear immediately when you enter a course. After you read an announcement, select Dismiss to continue to the Course Content page.
Course announcements appear in the Today or Recent section of the Activity Stream depending on when you sign in. The announcement disappears from your Activity Stream when you dismiss it within the course.
You can access past announcements on the Course Announcements page. Find Announcements on the Course Content page and select View archive. You can view all available announcements in the list. You can search for a certain announcement or sort by title or post date.
Your instructor can choose to display an announcement for a certain period of time. If you can't find an announcement in the archive, it may be hidden from you.
