Blackboard Learn generates a number of logs to help administrators with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and tracking. The log features provide a quick way to manage logs through the interface. It is also possible to manage logs at the operating system level or through a third party tool. All logs are stored in the logs directory under the top-level blackboard directory. Within the logs directory there are folders that store logs as well as an archive folder for logs that have been compressed and stored as a means of managing the size of the log files.
