To import courses into Blackboard Learn, the course source file must be Blackboard Learn-compatible. Administrators who previously used other Learning Management Systems (LMS) and want to move their courses into Blackboard Learn can use the Blackboard Course Conversion Tool instead of recreating their courses in Blackboard Learn.
About the Blackboard Course Conversion Tool
The Blackboard Course Conversion Tool is a standalone tool and runs independently without Blackboard Learn. Also, the tool must be run from the command line or terminal depending on your operating system.
This tool can convert course packages from the following LMS:
- Pearson eCollege
- Brightspace Desire2Learn
- Moodle 2.x/3.x
- Canvas 1.1/1.3
The converter is compatible with Windows® and Mac OS® operating systems.
It's necessary to install the appropriate Java runtime libraries to execute the tool.
