In the Blackboard app for Windows, your profile is populated with your Blackboard Learn cloud profile information, including your name and picture. You can easily change your picture in the app and replace all instances of your profile picture in the Blackboard app and Blackboard Learn.

Your profile also includes tiles that show which school or schools you attend. In the future, you'll be able to add more tiles yourself.

Change your profile

You can change your profile picture if your school enables it. You can't change your name or other information because that data is pulled from your school's Blackboard Learn system. Your profile information and picture aren't shared with others in the app at this time.

  1. Access your profile by tapping your profile picture in the app's main menu.
  2. Tap your picture and take a new photo with your device's camera or select a saved photo.

When you change your picture in the app, it replaces all instances of your picture in the Blackboard app and Blackboard Learn. When you're in a Collaborate session, you see pictures of participants who've uploaded pictures in the desktop or mobile versions of Collaborate with the Ultra Experience. At this time, your Blackboard app profile picture functions separately from your Collaborate profile picture.

Why can't I change my profile picture?

Your school might have enabled cloud profiles on the Blackboard system. At this time, the Blackboard app doesn't support profile picture changes when cloud profiles are enabled.
