iOS

The Blackboard app utilizes the iOS Files app to attach files from your device or cloud services. You can access third-party cloud storage such as iCloud®, OneDrive®, Google Drive™, or Dropbox.

For Blackboard app version 5.6+, your various cloud storage accounts are accessed only through the Files app on your Apple device. The Linked Accounts area was removed from the app's Settings.

Add cloud account in Files app

You can add a new cloud account to your device and access it through the Files app.

  1. Install a cloud storage service app on your device and log in to the service. For example, install the Google Drive app and log in.
  2. Open the iOS Files app on your device.
  3. Tap Browse to access a list of file storage locations.
  4. Tap the three dots at the top of the screen and select Edit.
  5. Slide to turn on the third-party apps that you want to access in Files.
  6. Tap Done. Now, wherever attachments are available in the Blackboard app, you can select Files and access those cloud storage services.
